Wielding the benefits

Why well-being?

Organizations with engaged workers have 23% higher profit compared with organizations with miserable workers.

Additionally, teams with thriving workers see significantly lower absenteeism, turnover and accidents. They also see higher customer loyalty.

Disengaged employees cost money:

  • 37% higher absenteeism

  • 18% lower productivity

  • 15% lower profitability

Increased employee retention:

  • Adding onsite health screenings and fitness benefits increased employee retention by nearly 10%

More productive in the office:

  • Wellness programs reduced work limitations for time management, physical work, and output, which means increased productivity.

Stress impacts the workplace:

  • The most common way employees attempt to self-manage stress is to withdraw at their workplace.

Less time out of the office:

  • Wellness programs lowered the absence days by 1.2 days per year over a 5-year period with 37% less sick time use.

Well-being saves money:

  • Across 22 studies, averaging more than 3,000 employees each, the average medical costs fell by $3.27 and absentee costs fell by $2.73 for every dollar spent on wellness programs.

Understanding risks and planning for the future:

Completing a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) provides an understanding of the risks associated across your employees which allows for a measured approach to reducing risk, saving money on excess direct medical costs, and the ability to prepare for future costs associated with each employee
